News Chrysler Wins AwardChrysler has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious 2008 Learning in Practice awards, sponsored by Chief Learning Officer magazine. The award was based upon the work Capital Analytics completed for them. They received a record number of nominations this year and our expert panel of judges, composed of industry experts and executives from some of the world's largest and most-respected companies, determined that Chrysler’s nomination was one of the top entries in the Business Impact category. The official announcement will be made at the Fall Chief Learning Officer Symposium, scheduled for Sept. 24-26, 2008 at the Hotel del Coronado, just outside of San Diego, California. As a finalist they will receive either the gold or silver Learning in Practice award during a presentation ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 25. Echols, Ph.D., Director of Bellevue University’s Human Capital Lab are presenting the measurement work that Capital Analytics completed for Chrysler. Presentations Measuring the Value of LearningOn September 18 Gene Pease is presenting at the 2008 Managed Learning Services Conference, being held in Clearwater, FL. His presentation is titled Measuring the Value of Learning: Next Generation Analytics. The presentation answers three important questions: Why Measure Training? What Training is being Measured? What is Next Generation Analytics? Case studies from Sun Microsystems and Chrysler will be used to illustrate how analytics can bridge the gap between a learning investment and business outcomes.
